puppetmasters-broken-dreams asked: Dear Past Me..
Dear Past Me,
What you are feeling is not normal. What you are experiencing is not “teenage angst,” no matter how romantic it sounds. When teenagers are happy, they are happy. Their happiness is not forever colored with feelings of impending doom. With hopelessness. Teenagers aren’t this angry all the time. You need help.
What you are feeling is not normal. Just because someone looks at you or near you, it does not mean they are judging you. Just because someone laughs with their friends, it does not mean they are laughing at you. What you are feeling is not normal. Not everyone is judging you all the time. You need help.
What you aren’t feeling is not normal. Staring at a crack in the cinderblock wall for 3 hours at a time is not normal. Not being able to smell and taste anymore is not normal. No longer being able to read is not normal. No longer seeing color is not normal. Feeling yourself as floating away from your body is not normal. Not sleeping for days for fear of dreaming is not normal. You need help.
Getting to the point of not caring if you get up from the bathroom floor is not normal. Feeling nothing is not normal. When the only thing that made you throw up those pills was the thought of your best friend having to find your body, you need help. Please get help.
You have friends to make. You have lives to change. You have family to laugh with. You have a passion to discover. You have the love of a lifetime to meet. But only if you get help.
